Student Government

Since 1962, Orchard's student body has elected a student government in the Fall and Spring. It gives the students a chance to have a say in what the other students want for the school. During Election Day things get kind of hectic. All of the officers want your vote for support in winning the election. Some people think that ASB Elections are based on popularity and friendship, but you should not base it on that. You should base it on who will get the job done to the best of their ability.

In 1998 a new office was created and 6th and 7th graders were guaranteed a position on the committee so that all grade levels were being represented. The new ASB consists of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and the newest addition, Speaker. Orchard Middle School is the only middle school to have a Speaker.
