Special Features
Orchard had many special features when it first opened. Some of these features include:
- School centered around a courtyard: stage, arena seating
- Two-way stage: cafeteria and gym
- Library with no doors to allow for easy access
- Classroom desks and chairs made of plastic and chrome
- Intercom system

Throughout the years, Orchard has had the need for many different sources of transportation. Here are some examples of activities that required some means of transportation.
In the 60's:
- Diesel buses were the main transportation used
- School district organized all transportation
- To and from school for students
- Used for out-of-town sports
Now:
- Diesel buses are still used
- To and from school for students
- Sports games and practices
- Airplanes are used for the East Coast Trip
